Addiction runs in my family, thankfully the gene skipped me and my sibs. Once people identified how much time I was on it I pulled back significantly and decided to find other things to do with my time — like write, fish, read books and talk to real people in person. I make a conscious effort to not engage on social media when I am bored and when interacting with real people. It’s difficult but with age comes wisdom. Engaging with real people is the most valuable type of engagement. Thanks for highlighting yet again the addictive nature of smart devices and social media.
