Awesome read Sam. I think Black parents who grew up during the civil rights era tend to have different views of the world. My dad was biased like that. Tainted! Then the Black gay child thing…it was always a source of strife for Black families…because of White Christianity.

Raising kids is hard. I think generally parents want the best for their kids, but sometimes fear is a parents' way of protecting. It’s not right…but it happens. Most of us have scars from Black parenting. What doesn’t kill makes us strong. You’re stronger Sam.
