Correct! Correct! Correct! Thank you.

Too often White women center themselves when we are trying to get express our pain and tell our stories. Madonna showed how totally disconnected she is from our community. She also doesn’t know about the African Anti-Blackness issues, making the use of her son dancing more egregious. How is her son dancing to Michael Jackson going to help us here in the states? It’s not. He probably didn’t even fool with us before her post. Who is he for us to feel that contribution was valuable? Black skin isn’t a skin pass.

Furthermore, Michael Jackson wasn’t really connected to the Black community, another piece of family business a White person wouldn’t be privy too, unless you were associated with Black folks closely.

MaDonna was clout chasing and it worked. Most White people saw nothing wrong with her post. A lack of cultural awareness will make you look crazy each and every time.

Thank you so much for responding and understanding the viewpoint. I just wanted to provide White people a warning before they go harassing Black folks like the usually do. THIS is not the time.
