Definitely different porn watching for sure. I don’t have a problem with porn consumption or engaging in consuming it myself. I can tell when guy watches a variety or over consumes because it manifests during intimacy or sex. Women can tell the difference. The guy I mentioned I’ve dated on and off for 20 years and the thing that I can’t deal with is how much his sex and attitude reflect how actors act in porn. He read erotica, spends a lot of time alone. At one point he couldn’t get an erection because he watched so much porn. He’s never had counseling and refused to get help. The behavior in the bedroom began to creep outside of it. We’d be standing up at the front door having a conversation and the next thing I know he’s behind me trying to pull my pants down and penetrate me. Mind you this has been a new, gradual change from when I originally met him.

This is just one example, but there are others. My focus is not on the porn itself, but how consumption changes attitudes and behaviors in some men which are harmful emotionally and physically to women. Just like drugs recreational and controlled impacts us all differently, so does porn consumption. It’s entirely possible watch different porn and garner different results. For some, they don’t allow it to control them. For others, not so much.
