For me, self-care is anytime I’m away from people and it’s quiet. I can read, I love going to sit near water watching wildlife, or fishing in a spot which is really quiet (that’s hard to find here in Florida). I feel good when I do this. I also like traveling alone. My partner as 4 children (girls) and they talk and squeal all the time. It doesn’t bother her, it tears my nerves to pieces. When I get to travel for work — it’s quiet. I enjoy that. I have time to recharge and gather my thoughts. The older I get, the more “me” time I need.
