This is how I feel. We could always start a new and being each day better than the day before, but there is one group of people in this country who insist on going backwards and staying backwards. I won’t say who they are, but you already know lol. I bet you know quite a few.

You’re right. Trump knew exactly what he was doing with MAGA. After listening to him lie and bully President Obama for 8 years, all Black people knew what MAGA meant. White folks who flocked to him knew what MAGA meant too. It was code, the kind of language they are accustomed to hearing in private. MAGA was saying the quiet thing loud. And here we are. About to explode at the seams, yet no one will do anything to quell the fire.

Racism and violence has always been involved in our nation’s politics, and White people have always had a hand in it. To engage with them about what or who is racist is foolish. They don’t know, and they really aren’t trying to know.

MAGA was about the status quo, and that’s one thing we know most White people love. Thanks so much for chiming in and sharing your thoughts. I appreciate it.
