Thank you for understanding. This is why we are so exhausted. We can’t say it nicely. We can’t say it sternly. We can’t write it in essays. We can’t express our feelings. We can’t do anything right for White people and it’s maddening. We are not allowed to express our feelings without being tone policed or concern trolled. We are called derogatory names by complete strangers, in particular, White men.

To be born Black in America is to be born into a domestic violence situation that we can never escape from. We are tired. I am tired.

There is no winning for us. The comments as you’ve noted verify it for anyone questioning why we feel theway we do.
