Hi Glenn,

Thanks for the words of encouragement and I rwas your piece. I was cheering the entire time. There is enough antiracism work than we could ever imagine. I’m never turning down help. Racism is eating at our nation’s soul and if we help people see the connection to racism and discrimination in our politics and leaders, then perhaps people can learn to understand entrenched race is in our national culture.

You’re great at telling stories and getting your point across. I’m a straight no chaser kinda gal which rubs those who need extra TLC the wrong way. You’re needed Glen to reach those I can’t reach, and I’m grateful for you. Each one must teach some in order to reach some.

As for leadership, I did that for a while. I got tired, burned out actually. Dealing with hard-headed, stubborn, ungrateful, disrespectful people is taxing and bad for your health. I love advocacy. I love fighting for people who can’t speak for themselves, who aren’t respected in society because they don’t have the right letters behind their names or haven’t attained the appropriate statuses, and those who don’t know how to maneuver in our disrespectful systems.

I like teaching people to fight for themselves in case they get a bad leader. They’ll know what to do and won’t sit around waiting on a savior when there isn’t one.

Over the years I’ve found people appreciate being taught how to fight for themselves and to find their own solutions over having someone to lead them who may/may not fight for their interests as hard as they would. We do need more leaders. I lead when I must, but I like cheerleading, morale building and fighting goliaths much more lol.

Right now I’m trying to teach. I feel like I’m going in circles, but I’m not giving up. I’m glad you’re in the fight brother!
