I agree. I grew up in all Black settings until adulthood and I received such love and motivation. My kids did not have the same experiences because we lived in predominantly White spaces., especially when they were in high school. As long as there are White people, there will never be Black Wall Streets or other asset building initiatives, because White people hate for Black ADOS people to do well or to have something nice. We need to live in Black spaces, but how to do that minus the White gaze is the question. They believe their job is to watch us. There is no peace living among White people, and ADOS will have to figure out how to do this and prosper. The more powerful and self-sustaining we become, the angrier they’ll get, especially if we stop voting for their interests.

Their reputations precedes them sadly.
