I agree. I often look at people who live simpler lives and they seem much happier. The American dream is a nightmare. Most days I believe we should just take care of our bare necessities. Seems like when we try to so other stuff we get ourselves into trouble. Funny you connect the phenomenon of reality tv/social media with todays relationship culture. I see people chasing likes and looks over true happiness. Love and happiness shouldn’t be predicated on ones bank account. After a few relationships and some aging, you’re happy to find someone that gets it.
