I appreciate your comment, but I must disagree. When you spend your entire life being assessed, you know the different. Clearly, you don’t know this for a reason, and you haven’t experienced any of this for the same reason. The fact you cannot relate speaks to you likely not having any Black people or People of Color in your life you converse with authentically because if you did, I’m sure they would have expressed this to you.

If you do have Black friends or People of Color and they have no expressed racist things White people say to them, it speaks more about you than it does them. It means they don’t trust you or they know you don’t give a crap…for the very reasons you’ve expressed in your response.

And that’s sad.
