I don’t wish any one to be burned at the stake. I just wish they’d share more of the pie. I wish they’d stop changing the rules of the game. I just wish they’d stop pretending to be innocent, and I wish the good ones would acknowledge the behavior of the bad ones and work to not be associated with them like you have. I wish they’d stop peddling trickle down and pulling ourselves up by the boot straps because that shit doesn’t always work! I wish they’d stop seeing everything from a winning or losing and rich or poor perspective. Life just ain’t that simple. The country isn’t free. It’s only free if you’re a White male, which is why people are still bitching about equality today — including White women.

So — you can believe we are brainwashed all you like, but we know we aren’t being treated fairly, we know the playing field is unequal, and we know when you deflect because you can’t acknowledge truth.

I write intelligent, unvarnished thoughts on anti-Blackness, racism, politics, Black people, and White Supremacy. White Fragility🚫| www.ko-fi.com/marleyk
