I got so much spam, people wanting to get into “pods” to boost posts, all the local efforts of networking that gets you no where. LinkedIn has never gotten me anything! Never a job anyway. I’ve been spammed to the point I don’t even use the site anymore. My profile just sits there. My profile doesn’t bring me any business. No one is extending jobs to my inmail box. It’s useless. It’s the new Facebook book for grown professionals. Videos, do this, do that!

I also was offended at the lack of diversity when LinkedIn posted photos of staff, events, interns, etc.

I left Facebook for the same reasons. I needed a mature, gimmick-free social experience based in reality. I get it on Medium minus the corporate plugging, ads, and shenanigans.
