I had to have a drink when I learned about her passing. That woman babysat me a many a days. Willona was our mommas, aunts, and neighbors, she exemplified a beautiful, sassy, savvy, classy Black woman who loved life inspite of her circumstances. She was right up there with Diana Ross, Diane Carroll, and the classy sister’s who entertained, blazed-trails, and taught us that our Black was beautiful. I’m watching Good Times all weekend to celebrate her life. Thank you for giving her the recognition she deserves. My heart is broken.
