I have engaged in more of these types of trainings than I can shake a stick at. To me they are just like diversity trainings giving by employers to simply check a box. No action happens.
I’m always wary of these new training models, trainings, and webinar things. People have found a way to make money off of models without any returns on the investment. It’s like no child left behind and the common core. People create this stuff and then realize people don’t want to change, people don’t like giving up power, and there is no way to control implicit bias in the workplace.
These creators make this stuff, walk away with the money from selling it. If there is a way to screen bias prior to the hiring process, there is no way to control the behavior of dominant groups once they get inside of an organization. They convert the culture.
