I have indicated where White people need to start on numerous occassions right here on Medium, and I don’t have the time nor energy to coax, babysit, or coddle grown White folks who spend plenty of time avoiding, deflecting, and gaslighting Black people in an effort to make their problems ours. If it had something to do with getting or keeping money, White folks would learn how to do it. When they want to maintain power, cheat us out of land, gentrify our communities, or lock us out of certain employment sectors, White people figure out how to do it. If it were something to do with getting a leg up or having better “Whites only” opportunities, White people would figure out how to do it. If they wanted to create a business and figure out their profit margins, they’d learn how to do that too.

White people can do whatever they want, when they want, if they want. The only thing they seemingingly don’t have an answer or roadmap for is racism and their White Supremacy, something they created and something they could easily figure out how to end. If and when White people are serious about doing something meaningful and structural, they’ll figure it out, and they’ll bring us to the table to ensure they understand the risks/harm.

Yes, I spend a significant amount of time talking about microaggressions and the intricate ways White people sustain White Supremacy, but it’s not our job to tell grown White people how to do this as if they are some juveniles or emotionally undeveloped special needs people. If they are their ancestors children, they should be able to figure out how to stop being racist and end systemic racism is all I’m saying.

White people made the first car, flew the first plane, made the first light bulb, built battle ships, and created processed foods (lol) and all sorts of other innovations. You mean to tell me they aren’t intelligent enough to end racism and to stop being racist?

C’mon man.
