I love them both of these gifted me and you are right, we must always resist. It’s how we survive. It’s what we do best.

But some days it just seems hopeless. Why try? I know we must continue to fight. I know our pains will continue to be invalidated. And no matter how good we are we still are never good enough. I just feel like there is more the Black community can do to have a better safeguards and less reliance upon America’s institutions and systems.

We made a lot of things in the world before coming to America. Things that still exist in the world today. Sometimes we ask to be oppressed by continually asking for inclusion and diversity. I have strong feelings about things our community can do. I plan to write more about it this year.

But you’re right. Bowing out of the fight isn’t an option.
