I loved this movie so much. I stumbled upon it. I heard all of the media hype describing the movie, but it was so vague. Descriptions in no way did any justice to this movie. I am not an avid movie goer, but this movie was so beautiful, so complex, so direct, yet so misleading. It’s the kind of movie you spend weeks reflecting on. It caused a riff with my homophobic ex, but it was his issue and not mines.

Thank you for your wonderful rehash of the movie as well as interpreting all of the subtle and brutal scenes. You made my heart beat a little faster just remembering this sad story. I’m all too familiar with that type of home.
