…ople who got them to where they are today, which is a common thread if you look closely at history. So for me, this year especially, I dedicate my pride to not only the Black Lives Matter movement, but also to loving and being proud of my myself and the other amazing black queer people around me. Perhaps we should all do the same.
I thought I was the only one feeling this way. I have felt this way for years, and other Blacks tell me I’m not seeing picture clearly. I saw it and I don’t want anymore of it. Every “extra” right White groups have is because of Black men and women. I never let myself forget it. Black Lives Matter is inclusive of all people who are Black. Anything else is trying to coopt that has an agenda, and Whiteness always has an agenda.
God forbid Black peoplehave some spotlight or freedom. Thanks for writing this.
