I’m all for fighting it out. May the best man or woman win the Dem presidential nomination. I’m happy to see all the diversity in the field myself. Donald Trump has been the best thing for democracy at this point. I was a Bernie supporter and I hated how he was not backed by the DNC when he drew crowds and had support like Obama. Bernie never had a shot, and the establishment snatched that away from him…from us by ordaining Hillary without going through this process. The hacked emails proved what we suspected all along, the big wigs, senior elected officials in the party had their woman regardless of what the voters wanted.

Bernie Sanders was the only Dem candidate time and time again that pollsters showed could beat Trump hands down, and people voted for Hillary anyway. Bernie appealed to those men who disliked Trump but would never vote for a woman (men like those exist in both parties), and he was the best alternative for minorities not falling for White feminism and Hillary after her super predator comments and other legislation that was devastating in particular to the Black community.

The Democratic party keeps underestimating voters, especially Black women. They also keep ignoring us. I didn’t vote for Hillary and I have no regrets. I didn’t vote for Trump either. Had other candidates been able to get their 5 minutes in the sun without the DNCs meddling, perhaps we could have a Dem presidential candidate today.

Instead they chose to play God and orchestrate and outcome and we all got Trump. They should take a lesson from 2016 and let us decide what the Democratic Party should look like. Otherwise, we don’t really live in a democracy.
