Interesting how those of us, regardless of ethnicity or gender willing to immerse ourselves in the real fabric of America can tell when the space is sanitized. It feels wrong and unAmerican. Many of these places have taken great pride in keeping their place without Black people. These communities will accept almost any immigrant group — but reject Blacks. I don’t get it. Glad to see life without color impacts other non-Black people of color. Rural travels can be really scary coming from a a Carolina Gal. There are still places Blacks can’t go in 2019. Most people don’t have a clue.
