It sounded like it, the piece was piercing. You can’t help who you love. I really hate how the gay community puts all these mandates on women, especially bi-sexual and women unsure of their sexuality. It sounds like you really were conflicted going in, and perhaps were tainted by views of the outsiders.

I think an open-minded, fearless person is the best partner. Straight, gay, whatever...people must work out their issues in relationships. It takes times, years. Getting comfortable, laying foundations, determining each others love languages, checking in on emotional well-being, coming out/or not… that’s a lot on a person, especially someone who has lived a hetero life when you meet and fall for each other. I hope you find someone who will accept you for you. I also hope you don’t heed the advice of know-it-alls about your relationships, as it could hurt more than it helps. A good, decent, person is hard to find today. One without baggage is harder. We all have bags…we need someone to help us carry them!
