Just another confirmation of how America is not equal, everyone can’t work their way into success, and there is no such thing as boots with boot straps attached. Most people get a pair of used flip-flops to try and walk themselves out of a shitload of snow (aka poverty). Inequality is real. Racism is real, and the systems of privilege use to keep the playing field uneven are real.
