Just because someone isn’t diagnosed doesn’t mean they don’t have a mental disorder, it just means they aren’t diagnosed. There are millions of people walking around who know they are not well, and millions of more of us who know they are not well. If I see something, say something.
If that’s your ethos, so be it. Don’t make me follow it.
I’ve lived with mentally ill people who didn’t have a diagnosis until they got into their 60s.
We all knew my mother was crazy, but she didn’t get diagnosed until her behavior got so dangerous for the general public we had to commit her. Only then did she get “an official” label for the behavior she had exhibited her entire life. Her own mother knew she was crazy but was more worried about the label impacting her reputation than anything.
Please spare me with the lack of an official diagnosis spill, as this only endangers people.
