Ms. Nancy,

I don’t care how angry Black people get. I don’t care how much we say we don’t need you, it’s not true. It’s impossible to dismantle our system without the help of White people. Good White people have access we don’t have. Good White people have resources, systems, and power we’ll never be able to attain. You have connections we need that only you can access. You are the barriers between freedom and oppression, moving forwards and backwards, and good and evil. We need you. We want you, and sometimes we don’t know how much we need you.

There are not enough Black people to achieve our goals alone. We need help, and we need the support/buy-in of White people. You’re included in this fight. Don’t stop, don’t be discouraged, go where you can go, and use your gifts, talents, connections, and resources to move us closer to equality. It’s urgent. Time is running out. System problems require systemic solutions. You are the system. Think of this battle in this manner. It’s layered, complex, and hard to find where to start. Start somewhere.

I write intelligent, unvarnished thoughts on anti-Blackness, racism, politics, Black people, and White Supremacy. White Fragility🚫|
