My motto now is until you show me you are good, you are bad. Unless you show me you don’t mean me any harm, I must assume you will harm me. If not now, later, but it will happen. It always does.
This is how Black and Brown women must protect themselves until White people change. Screw their intentions.
Most wouldn’t know good intentions towards us if they smacked them in the back of their heads. I’m too old to be worrying about the intentions of a group of people who are notorious for not having good ones.
