Our work is supposed to be protected here. A take down notice is one way to address the issue, but it does not address compensation for work reproduce without permission. Your big pieces you could pay to have the copyright protected. You can register your entire blog, then sue offenders via your local civil court up to the maximum amount. If they fail to appear you usually get the judgement anyway. It’s a small price to pay in order to protect your work and to sue when your rights are violated.

I don’t believe I write anything worthwhile, but one never knows. I want to be compensated for my work I use my brain cells to create. I’m sorry you were jacked. I’m sharing your piece and I suggest you seriously consider a civil suit for copyright infringement through your local courts. The law is on your side if you have proof. Don’t forget to save those screen shots (including posted dates).
