Thank you for sharing yet another hair controversy with me I knew nothing about. I don’t care what he thinks. He’s rich and just like so many other Black men when they “make it." Men like Brown aspire to have what’s been usually unattainable to them. Your pool of those types of “good hair” trophy women, exotics, and White women, broaden drastically when you have money, even if you’re fat and ugly lol. For him it’s an exotic woman with certain hair texture, for other men, it’s having anything on his arm as a wife or significant other but a Black.woman who resembles his momma. I like to call it escapism.

These men have personal, internalized issues which could stem from anything (child abuse, sexual assault, PTSD, sociopath disorders, internalized racism). Their problems are not my problems though. I appreciate when they verbalize them so I can steer clear of them. They are toxic and bad for my emotional well-being.

You know, at the end of the day, men like Brown can live that life and secure all those superficial physical preferences they’d like to, but when they all get into trouble where do they run to?

The kind of woman with the hair and skin they don’t like. They kind of hair their mom’s have. I take their code-switching physical preferences with a grain of salt. I forgive their racism, ignorance and stupidity because I know what it’s likely rooted in. Lol.

I write intelligent, unvarnished thoughts on anti-Blackness, racism, politics, Black people, and White Supremacy. White Fragility🚫|
