Thank you Jeanette. I had to take a few days away to meditate on it to make it a teachable moment, because it really irritated me how White readers manage to sidestep their racism to blame us for racism and wanting to protect ourselves. White people will continue to find ways to not stay focused, which leads to nothing getting done. I’m calling out whataboutitis and RADD more often because they are distractions. I appreciate the support from my people, and from other Black creatives working to call out racism. We need to stop allowing White commenters to come into our comment sections and take control of the original messages. I was really disappointed in some of my favs going down that path, but it just goes to show White people never really fully get racism.

There is a lesson in everything, I just had to figure out how to put this one our fairly quickly because it really disturbed my soul.
