There are more Black and Brown people in the world ready to spend money with Nike, even if they may make their shoes in sweatshops. Nike upped the anty with this decision, sending a signal they clearly understand they know their consumers.
Besides, I have never seen men who look like 45, Mitch McConnell, or John Elway standing in line buying J 's. Invest maybe, but not buying anything. Black folks stand in line to buy those new bball shoes. Black men to be exact. Nike wants to be on the right side of history, and not end up like Papa John.
