Thank you so much. I indeed did my research and at the time all of the top brass for this grocer were White men. They were educated on Black hair care and I politely explained the value in serving our population. I provided specific demographic info on the various African groups in the area from the U.S.,Caribbean, South America, and Africa. I'm assuming they'd never done any research. I also noticed where there stores were located. They were never placed in areas where Black populations were. Close to those populations yes, but they mostly cater to middle-class, upper-middle-class and wealthy White and White Hispanics here in Florida.
To be a regional chain without serving the health and beauty needs of one of the nation's oldest populations was pretty bold. I'm thankful they saw the benefit and importance of it did the right thing.
