Thank you so much Joe. I do agree with your assessment income inequality is the second biggest challenge, but I believe the entire reason for the inequality is due to discrimination. It’s either racial discrimination or gender discrimination. In America, income inequality and discrimination go hand in hand. And while there are other types of discrimination (i.e. rural workers vs urban workers), stereotypes and discrimination still are at the heart of the inequality.
America’s original sin was slavery, and the Civil War was all about the Southern states wanting to maintain their free labor (income inequality) and prosper from that labor. The nation’s first sanctioned income equality was slavery. Race determined who was labeled a slave, freedman, or human. Race determined who could earn money, and who had to work for free.
