Thank you Xavier Erotica for the love. You are so right, we are not alone. I shared my story because so many women have told their stories for the first time. I have worked as a social worker, rape crisis center director, in HIV/AIDS management…churches…you name it!
There are so many hurt people out here. Hurt people who are in need of healing in a world filled with hate. In 2018 there are still people telling the same stories women and children have told for centuries. As long as abusers are able to hide and are hidden by their peers, we will never get rid of these perverts. All we can do is tell our stories, and try to educate people on how childhood sexual trauma impacts the entire trajectory of a child’s life. We also must do what women all over the world are doing, and that’s embrace, love on, and support other victims of sexual assault. We are love…women give life and we are healers.
The only way to heal is to talk about it. We need to do this more. It’s like unpacking grocery bags. The more we unload, the lighter the bags get. It’s time to unpack my friend. I love you sis!
