Thanks so much Sam. Sometimes writing helps us to heal, see our mistakes, and convict of to our faces. I appreciate the compliment. It’s hard sometimes to be open and genuine about relationships. Too many people want to keep life under wraps, hide relationship flaws, and are forced into a sort of relationship slavery where we cry, call our girlfriends and guy friends so they tell us to “take it to the Lord in prayer.” Meanwhile we’re in the bathroom crying, in the car crying, at the job hating to come home……

It’s therapeutic to speak truths, and I hope more people will start to feel comfortable talking about the wounds we receive when people don’t take care of us or take us for granted. Sometimes love hurts, and sometimes, we hurt ourselves staying in love with people who really don’t know how to love us.

After 13 years, these are the wounds I had to recover from. I’m still recovering. Let nothing fester my friend! I’m happy this piece inspired you. Thanks for reading.
