This is what it’s all about, and this is why I try not to be sidelined on race, especially in the framework of politics. Church politics, governing politics, corporate politics, social politics — Black is ugly in each of these structures.
It’s the reason there are so few Black CEOs, and Christianity/religion is segregated. It’s the reason many social clubs and greek orgs are segregated. Black is has been deemed ugly. Black has been deemed bad. Black has been named sub-human. Your piece touches on the politics of it all. We can’t afford to miss the covert bigotry in assigning colors to our politics.
