This!!!!! This is what I keep asking myself. It’s like church, religion, god, Santa Claus, the 4th of July, Thanksgiving, patriotism and all the other lies White America teaches us.
Why are we believing America (White people) will change after 400 years? Why do we think we can never get justice when it comes to matters of racce (especially now they’ve stacked the courts with inept, racist, conservative judges)? Why are they still allowed to hunt us down like dogs while we’re jogging, playing, walking, shopping? They aren’t going to change and there is no incentive for them to change.
White people dictate what’s racist and what’s not racist, yet they claim they don’t understand it. It’s willful ignorance.
They obstruct justice. They cheat. They steal from us. They kill us. They make money off of us while keeping us from making money. They lie. They steal. They gaslight, and we keep praying, asking, begging, hoping, waiting . They’ve been doing this since the 1600s. It’s time we get a new way of thinking and living. No, they are not going to change, and it’s not our jobs to teach or coddle them. We are not the Red Cross, Salvation Army, Miracle Hill, or the Navy. It’s not our jobs to help or save White people. They need to be helping and saving US.
But they won’t, and we already know why. They’ve shown us who they are. It’s up to us to believe it. This isn’t our home.
I hear the Rose Royce song playing in the background, “Love Don’t Live Here Anymore.”
It’s just emptiness and memories. America abandoned me. Love don’t live here anymore.
