This was a great piece. I don’t understand why these types of visits are not allowed. While I understand punishing criminals, refusing to allow conjugal visits puts everyone and anyone in a prison setting at risk of rape, violent sexual assaults, and sexual coercion. Sexual desires are natural. Incarcerations doesn’t stop those desires, it only makes them stronger. It’s inhumane to withhold affection from any human being for such long periods of time.

You’d think with all we know about human nature, we would develop more humane ways of incarcerating people.
