This was beautiful. Most Black folks who are truthful feel this way though we’re not all able to express it in such a way. I enjoyed this thought and I co-sign. Wearing whiteness for years has been exhausting. Shedding it is refreshing. And you’re right, when you speak truth — you offend.
I don’t mind spreading the love. If I’ve had to tolerate being offended and living with less dignity most of my life, they can get a taste too. Talk. And never stop talking. Our silence and shrinkage insulates Whiteness and keeps it safe.
