This was excellent. I love the way you broke down how slowly you came to the realization you were racist. I also appreciate how you described the subtle microaggressions and feelings you had that supported the title.

Being racist isn’t necessarily bad but staying that way is. You can’t help how you were born or where you were raised (in racist America).

This is how it works with most White people although the older they are the harder it gets to acknowledge they are racist. I appreciate your candor. Hopefully others will read this and examine their own racism.
