Trans people should be able to serve and work whenever and wherever they desire to. It’s a shame they are limited to living in shadows when they have so many valuable contributions to make. We won’t ever know the full potential of the trans community contributions if we don’t allow them to do so. America is so concerned with sex lives and body parts.
Trans people serving in the military shows the true America. America isn’t Black and White. Nor is it just hetero or homo sexual. Trying to make America something that it’s not only prolongs our suffering. Trans people aren’t going any place. America needs to deal with it. I’d rather have a kind, empathetic trans person with integrity in the trenches with me any day over a macho, masculine hating ass bigot who can’t see anything except his small world.
Trans people must continue to fight. We all need to fight for all of our injustices, as we our struggles intersect. When one groups’ rights are infringed upon, we all are infringed upon.
It’s not going to get any better unfortunately. More LGBTQ cuts and kickouts coming to a government agency soon. As long as Trump is not curtailed, he will continue to be evil.
Again, he is acting on behalf of the religious right in exchange for their silence for other atrocities and theft he and his children are engaging in.
