You made my day with this post. I just responded to someone about the bigotry practiced by Irish after assimilating then being grandfathered into Whiteness. I have no interest in breaking bread, drinking green beer, wearing green clothes, or going to an Irish pub in honor of St. Patrick’s Day. based on the track records of Black/Irish relations.
They have always mistreated Blacks and they have never been interested in desegregation. I have my poo-poo face on all day lol. Let them be great today…I just won’t be celebrating with them! You called them out and it’s needed. My how quickly they forget they were once labeled as niggers and undesirables too!
